Which vehicle do you actually need?
Most people pick by passenger count. It is usually the wrong question — luggage decides the vehicle far more often than seats do. Four adults with four large cases and hand luggage will not travel comfortably in a saloon, even though a saloon seats four.
When you enquire, tell us two numbers: how many people, and how many bags. If there is anything bulky — golf clubs, skis, a buggy, a wheelchair, a cello — mention it. It costs nothing to send a bigger vehicle; it costs everyone a lot to discover the problem at 04:00 on the driveway.
The saloon
Right for one or two people with normal luggage, or three travelling light. It is the most economical option for a solo airport run and the one we send for most business collections.
The minivan
The sensible default for a family. Six seats, and enough boot space that a two-week holiday's worth of cases is not a problem. If you have small children and a buggy, this is usually the one.
The passenger van
Eight seats with genuine luggage room behind them — not eight seats with the bags on your lap. This is the vehicle for a group holiday, a stag or hen heading to the airport together, or a family travelling with grandparents.
The 16-seater minibus
For wedding parties, golf groups, teams, corporate groups and anyone moving a lot of people to the same place at the same time. Per person it is almost always cheaper than splitting across three or four taxis, and everybody arrives together, which matters more than people expect on a wedding morning.
Child seats
Irish law requires children under 150 cm or 36 kg to travel in an appropriate child restraint. We can provide seats — just tell us the ages of the children travelling when you book.
Worth asking early. The seat is fitted before the car leaves, not on your driveway at four in the morning.
Accessibility
Our minivan and our eight-seater can carry a wheelchair. The saloon and the sixteen-seater cannot — so if a wheelchair is travelling, say so when you book and we will send one of the two that can take it.
If anyone travelling has reduced mobility more generally, tell us how much help is needed getting in and out and we will plan for it.
What is in every vehicle
Every car and minibus we run is cleaned between jobs, and the driver knows the route before setting off rather than following a phone. For early departures the car is warm when you get in, which is a small thing that matters at four in the morning in January.
